Torrance, California, is located in Los Angeles County and is part of the South Bay area. With a population of approximately 145,000, Torrance is the eighth largest city in the county. It covers 20.5 square miles and has 1.5 miles of beachfront on the Pacific Ocean. Neighboring cities include Gardena, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills and Carson.
